Mysuru Dasara Festival to Conclude with Grand Procession

The 10-day long Mysuru Dasara festival is set to conclude with the traditional Jamboo Savari procession. The festival, which began on October 15, will come to an end on October 24, with the grand procession being the highlight of the conclusion. According to the organizers, the Jamboo Savari procession will feature decorated elephants, tableaux, and cultural troupes, showcasing the rich heritage of Mysuru. The procession will start from the Mysuru Palace and will pass through the main streets of the city, attracting thousands of spectators.

The District Administration has made elaborate arrangements for the procession, including security, traffic management, and crowd control. The Police Department has deployed a large contingent of personnel to ensure a smooth and safe passage of the procession. The Health Department has also made arrangements for medical aid and emergency services along the procession route. Meanwhile, the Tourism Department is expecting a large number of tourists to arrive in the city to witness the grand finale of the Mysuru Dasara festival.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, is expected to participate in the Jamboo Savari procession, along with other dignitaries, including the District Commissioner, Dr. Bagadi Gautham, and the City Police Commissioner, Dr. Chandragupta. The procession will be preceded by a series of cultural events, including music and dance performances, at the Mysuru Palace. The Mysuru Dasara festival is an annual event that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka, and the Jamboo Savari procession is the grand finale of the festival.
