Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology will organize a blood donation camp on June 13 from 10am to 5pm on its premises to mark National Cancer Survivors Day. The initiative aims to raise awareness about cancer survivorship and encourage voluntary blood donation.

National Cancer Survivors Day is observed worldwide to honor the courage, resilience, and achievements of cancer survivors. Dr Avinash CB, chief medical oncologist, called upon the public to participate in the camp, saying, ‘Be the reason someone survives. Cancer survivors are living proof that hope is stronger than cancer.’

Gowtham Dhamerla, chief operating officer, said donated blood is a vital resource in cancer care and appealed to eligible donors to participate. Those who want to donate blood can contact 9012112190. The camp is open to students, employees, social organization workers, and members of the public.

The event is an opportunity for the community to come together and support cancer patients and their families. By donating blood, individuals can make a significant difference in the lives of those undergoing treatment.
