Mysuru Airport to Celebrate Yatri Suvidha Diwas on June 15

The Airports Authority of India will celebrate Yatri Suvidha Diwas at Mysuru airport on June 15, reaffirming its commitment to passenger-centric services, community engagement, cultural heritage, and sustainable development. Passengers arriving at the airport will receive a traditional welcome with flowers and sweets. The airport premises will come alive with vibrant cultural performances showcasing Karnataka’s rich heritage.

The celebrations will feature various performances, including Dollu Kunitha, Bharatanatyam, and Nadaswaram, creating a festive ambience throughout the terminal. Passengers will be presented with handmade flowers, Mysore shawls, and traditional Mysore Pak sweet. A fire-fighting equipment display and awareness demonstration will also be organised for school students and passengers.

The event will be inaugurated by G.T. Deve Gowda, MLA of the Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency. As part of social welfare initiatives, Safai Karmacharis and women personnel associated with the Karnataka State Industrial Security Force will be felicitated. Free medical check-up camps and eye screening camps will be organised at the cityside area with the support of JSS Hospital and Agarwal Eye Hospital.

In the run-up to the event, Mysuru Airport has undertaken several activities, including a Community Outreach Programme and an Eco Drive and Herbal Plantation Programme. The airport has also organised painting competitions on the theme ‘Aviation in India’ for students and familiarisation visits to the Flight Training Organization and Fire Station.
